
On Friday, 14th February 2025, Kick Corruption Out of Uganda (KICK-U) had the honor of hosting Prof. Paul Heywood, a globally renowned scholar in Governance and Anti-corruption.
During his engagement with KICK-U, Prof. Heywood emphasized that “Fighting corruption requires innovation, collaboration, and strong institutions.” He commended KICK-U for its remarkable efforts in advocating for good Governance and Accountability, which are essential for improved service delivery.
Prof. Heywood shared deep insights on corruption investigations, state responses to corruption, and the critical role of academia in tackling the vice. He further encouraged global collaboration and innovative approaches in the fight against corruption, stressing that multi-stakeholder engagement is key to achieving sustainable solutions.
