CEON –U is a consortium of 18 CSOs that merged to locally observe pre-election, election and post election processes. For Kigezi, Kick Corruption out of Uganda recruited 14 Long Term Observers (LTOs) and deployed them to observe electoral processes in all the constituencies of the five districts that form Kigezi region.
Throughout the observation process, a number of organizations and agencies visited the region to contribute to the support and efforts of KICK-U like the EU, British High Commission, among others. According to reports, the electoral process in Kigezi was generally peaceful and the voters were calm.
